Il razionale di questo lavoro risiede nella particolarità della eziologia della lesione (ustione da post esposizione da raggi solari su specchio, post estricazione complessa) e nella tipologia/complessità di trattamento effettuata in setting di home care. La gestione ha portato al raggiungimento di una fase avanzata del wound healing in breve tempo, attraverso l’utilizzo di nuove tipologie di medicazione avanzata ad alto impatto tecnologico. Queste offrono, attraverso le loro differenti tipologie di funzione, una variabilità di trattamento nelle diversi aspetti del TIME. L’utilizzo di queste nuove tipologie di medicazione tecnologicamente evolute (medicazioni a rilascio di specie reattive dell’ossigeno), associato ad un protocollo di trattamento strutturato e standardizzato (protocollo 4 fasi, Wound Hygiene®), consente il miglioramento della qualità dell’assistenza con la possibilità di una gestione quasi totalmente domiciliare con la condizione che l’assistito sia preso in cura da un team multidisciplinare e transdisciplinare.
